Spike Lee's remake of the notorious Korean shocker stars Josh Brolin as a drunken exec who is kidnapped, framed for his wife's murder and locked in a hotel room... for 20 years. Eventually set free, he goes all out for revenge on his captors. Whoever they are. Never one to shy from a challenge, Lee coolly executes a thriller that's as brutal, compulsive and unsettling as Park Chan-wook's original. But unlike its predecessor, no octopuses were harmed during the making of this film.
